Where to go in Alcanada and the surrounding area
Yes, there are days when you don't want to go outside, but - whether you want to enjoy the peace and quiet, lie on the beach or really want to party in the evening - there is something for EVERYONE. Nature lovers, golfers and cyclists in particular will appreciate our house for their activities. PS: We tried out all the tips that we give here ourselves :-)
Alcanada golf course
The Alcanada Golf Club is one of the most beautiful golf courses in Europe. We are right. The lighthouse can be seen on almost all holes. The landscape is wonderful and the greens are in top condition. A must for all golfers.
The Alcanada Golf Club is about 1 km away on foot from our house.
Restaurant La Terrazza
The La Terrazza restaurant is approx. 150 meters from our house. A beautiful place that also has great food. Located right by the sea, you can let your gaze wander over the bay. There is direct access to the sea, which was always a welcome change, especially for our children (the water is calm and not deep. There is even a small swimming island).
Alcanada 35
Unfortunately we haven't taken any pictures yet, but the restaurant is about a 15-minute walk away. You can run right along the sea, you only have to take the stairs up to the main street after about 700 meters. On the corner you can see the small but very tasty restaurant "Alcanada 35". All employees are very friendly, children are very welcome and the food is very tasty and varied.
Port Alcudia beach
Only 5 minutes by car or 30 minutes on foot - the beach of Port Alcudia is especially popular with families. Long, flat, calm and warm, the kids can splash around while their parents lie on the beach or maybe drink a cocktail in the beach restaurants. There is also a playground right by the harbor. If you want to get away from the crowd a little, the best way to go is the Sunwing Alcudia Beach Hotel. Here you can park your car almost on the beach and it is not overcrowded. There is also a great surf school there (Wind and Friends Watersports). We tried windsurfing! The employees speak German and English in any case and are very nice :-).
Alcudia
Alcudia was already 123 BC. Founded in Chr and was subject to many cultural influences such as Phoenicians, Greeks and Romans. In the 14th century The resulting city wall has been restored like the old town. The old town invites you to stroll and linger. Small pedestrian alleys shape the city center. Tuesday and Sunday there is a market, where people from all over the island come specially. Alcudia is only 5 minutes by car from our house and should definitely be on your to-do list.
